Grange Farm Airsoft Safety Rules

1. Eye protection must be worn at all times during the games and within the play area. Only in the Safezone should eye protection be removed. Those wearing goggles or glasses do so at their own risk. Grange Farm Airsoft will not accept responsibility for injuries to the face where only goggles or glasses are worn. Full face projection is advised by Grange Farm Airsoft. Airsoft weapons can cause damage to unprotected areas such as Skin, Teeth and Eyes and we recommend you cover up these areas to protect yourself. You are hereby warned.

2. The playing area is defined as the Grange Farm Airsoft Site and players should not play in any other area. Area boundaries are the boundaries of the stream designated by the tree line running the full length of the site and the large bank on the front of the site. All no-go areas will be clearly marked with orange mine tape and must not be entered under any circumstances unless advised by a marshal.

3. Taking hits. This game is a game of trust. You must call hit and put your hand up to signal when you've been shot by either enemy or friendly fire. This may be a burst from an AEG or a single round from a sniper rifle or pistol. Once dead remove your magazine and clear the weapon by firing a couple of shots into the ground. Make your way back to the Safezone or designated deadzone. No talking when you are dead. Please be fair and sportsman like. Please note that the wood area is very dense and thus BB's can struggle to make to there target at even the closest of ranges. It is up to your opponent to call themselves out not you. If you have any concerns please talk to a Marshal.

4. Knife Kills: You must ask permission to use these. They must be soft rubber. To achieve a knife kill you must tap you opponent on the back or the front, centre mass, not the head or legs. Be soft and gentle and do not stab with it. Do not throw the knife.

5. OVERKILL - avoid overkill at all times. It only takes one round to eliminate someone. SHOUTING OUT - Do not shout out at your opponent about anything rules related, if you have concerns please talk to a Marshal only. You may of cause use friendly banter with the enemy and friendly forces.

6. Medic Rules - You require a bandage (see a marshal) When you are hit you shout hit then immediately shout medic. Take out you bandage and hold it up high above your head (if you don't you will more than likely get shot again!) A friendly must tie the bandage around your wrist and you are back in the game (you cannot put it on yourself) If you are hit again then you are dead. You can let friendly forces know your position but other than that no talking and giving away enemy positions etc (your dying). Enemy forces may medic you. If this happens then you are captured. If you do not receive a medic after 5 minutes then bleed out (this means you've bled to death)

7. Capture rules - If you are forced to surrender or you receive a medic by an enemy then you are captured. You cannot do anything except follow your captor. You cannot escape or use weapons etc. You may be rescued by friendly forces if your captors are killed and a friendly tags you. You may be held for up to 10 minutes only. Your enemy may release you earlier. This counts as being dead.

8. There is to be no firing of guns or magazines to be in guns until the game is started. If you wish to test fire your gun please see a marshal. If you see anyone walking around with a loaded weapon please advise them to remove the magazine and make the weapon safe by clearing the chamber.

9. Hire Guns: Do not use any other BB's than the ones provided by Grange Farm Airsoft. Do not pick BB's up off the floor. Keep you BB's in a bag or container, do not use loose BB's (i.e. from pockets etc). You will be charged for any breakages and or damage resulting from misuse.

10. Chrono: There is a chrono available on site. Our site maximium limits are 350fps for AEG's and 500fps for single shot Sniper Rifles. We reserve the right to chrono any weapon at anytime.

11. Marshals - all marshals have a minimum of 30 shoots training and are all classed as professional players. The marshal's word is final. Marshals will be running the games and are there to help and make sure things run smoothly. If you have ANY concerns we would appreciate it if you would talk to a marshal before anything else.

12. Pyro Rules: Grenades are anything that goes bang. If you are with in 15feet (roughly 3 body lengths) from an explosion you are hit unless you have hard cover (bunker, wall, etc). If you are unsure, take the hit, you may ask a marshal if they are nearby. Once you have activated a pyro you must discard it immediately, please let other players know that a pyro has been thrown by shouting "grenade." Do not hold onto it and do not throw it at someone directly. If a pyro is activated then do not attempt to pick it up as it will be very hot, may burn and explode in your hand.

13. Surrender Rule (Bang): If you have sneaked up on someone or have them bang to rights then you have the option to call surrender to that person. This counts as a hit if you surrender. If you are unsure about calling surrender (bang) then shoot the opponent but avoid overkill. One shot to the body is enough.

14. Snipers engagement range is 30feet. You are not allowed to shoot your sniper rifle at anyone who is closer than that to you. You may of course use other weapons.

15. Blind Fire: We do not accept blind firing. You must have your eyes on the target when firing at a target of any kind. YOU NEED TO BE LOOKING AT WHAT YOU'RE SHOOTING AT!

16. This is not a public area, but if you encounter a member of the public then cease all activities (call "CEASE FIRE") until they have moved out of the area and advise a marshal of their location. Only a marshal should restart the game.

17. We start games by shouting "GAME ON" and/or blowing a whistle once. We end games by shouting "ENDEX" and/or blowing the whistle 3 times.

18. Some areas of the ground are slippery and uneven. Be very careful when using the banks, safe entry/exit points have been provided and should be used at all times. Be aware of steep gradients and loose stones. We recommend you wear a good pair of boots, knee and elbow protection.

19. Do not climb trees. This can be dangerous, not just to you but others.

20. Be aware of branches that are at head height and this is another reason that face protection should be warn.

21. Structures have been built to enhance the playing enjoyment but are not permanent and adequate care should be taken not to interfere with them so as to render them unsafe. Do not climb over walls or through bunker windows. Use the entry and exits only.

22. Players under the influence of alcohol or drugs shall be refused entry and no alcohol or drugs are permitted on the site.

23. A mobile phone is available to call emergency services in the event of an accident and there is a first aid kit provided on site as well as designated first aiders being available.

24. If you have any medical conditions you must see a marshall before the game starts. Anything that you need to carry for medical reasons i.e. Inhaler, should be carried in the top left pocket of your jacket/webbing.

25. Rubbish. DO NOT LITTER! Please put your rubbish in the bin bags provided or discard your own rubbish off site. Do not leave rubbish on site or discard anywhere else other than the bins bags provided.

26. Cars are parked at owners risk.

27. All players must sign an insurance waiver before they start the day.

28. Any player under the age of 18 must have a parents or guardians consent to play.

Anybody found breaching the Rules of Play will be given one warning and any further offences the player will be removed from the site.
